Scrooge McDuck has business interests in an underdeveloped region of Punjab, India, dominated by a selfish maharaja. As they venture into the forest Scrooge and the nephews make a discovery which leads them to Ollieynstan and the long lost city of Shambala. In this city, Shambala, actually a large palace full of traps that guarded a great treasure, they need to go through several challenges. They find remnants after the army of Alexander the Great and ten avatars which appear to be the key to the large treasure. But they are not alone—the evil Maharajah of Punjab has been tailing the expedition.
