Conan learns that the Afguli clans have turned on him, so he plans to rescue Yasmina alone, but is joined by Kerim Shah and his men who agree to join him. They approach the mountain of Yimsha. Yasmina awakes to find she has been captured by the Master of Yimsha. Conan, Kerim Shah, and his men battle the acolytes of the Black Seers. Most of the men are killed in the attempt but, following Khemsa's warnings, Conan succeeds in killing the Black Seers and rescuing Yasmina, but is unable to keep her for long. Conan leaves with the hillmen and the Devi returns to her country.
