Bored with reading endless reports in her new U.N. post, Diana convinces her superiors to include her in a risky fact-finding team bound for Tarakimo to inspect alleged human abuses and torture in the country's prisons. After receiving a note from his bride-to-be detailing the mission, the Phantom decides to surprise Diana by turning up in Tarakimo. However, when he arrives, Diana is imprisoned for “spreading lies” about the country and faces torture.
