The jungle witch doctors, whose influence has been on the wane since the introduction and subsequent success of modern medicine in Dr. Axel's hospital, assemble on their infamous meeting place Mt. Weerd to hatch plans to eliminate a powerful rival. When the witch doctors fail to expel Dr. Axel by employing voodoo, they resort to more hands-on approaches, prompting a journalist visiting the hospital to slip away and summon the Phantom, but she strays too near Mt. Weerd. Time is running out fast.
