X-Men [Cyclops, Phoenix [Jean Grey], Storm, Wolverine, Colossus, Banshee, Nightcrawler], Moira MacTaggert, Havok, Polaris, Madrox the Multiple Man, Proteus, Mastermind (Jason Wyngarde).
The X-Men are on Muir Isle trying to take down the super-powerful Proteus who also happens to be Moira's son. Elsewhere, Proteus has escaped the island in Madrox's doubles body to the city of Stornoway. There he finds himself in need of a new body. Wolverine has picked up Proteus's scent. Nightcrawler comes driving up, only to find that Proteus is capable of warping reality itself. Jean continues to have Mastermind-induced hallucinations. She experiences another reversion to the 18th century.
