Lois Lane, Lex Luthor, Metallo [John Corben], Superman [Clark Kent], Emmett Vale [scientist].
Superman has learned that he is an alien from Krypton. His birth-matrix/ rocket ship has gone missing. His trail leads him to a hidden, lead-lined lab. Inside he finds a dead scientist (Emmett Vale). The lab is the place where Metallo is being created — the scientist’s experiments include transplanting John Corben’s brain into a robotic body, powered by a kryptonite heart. Clark Kent and Lois Lane see a bank being robbed. The robber reveals himself as Metallo (John Corben), now a cyborg with a kryptonite heart. He uses kryptonite power to weaken him severely. Lex Luthor is watching the battle unfold. He realizes that Metallo may actually have the capacity to kill Superman. Metallo is abducted. Superman is left weakened, and fearful for what this means: that his weakness to kryptonite is now exposed.
