Conan, the chieftan of Zuagirs and his raiders attack a caravan but find only a girl and a sabre-tooth cat for loot. Conan travels to the city of Akbitana to discover the secret of the mysterious Citadel that has appeared there. In a pub he is seduced and druged by the exotic dancer/prostitute Alhambra. She lure men inside the citadel.He awakens inside the Citadel, captive of Shamash-Shum-Ukin who plans to use him as a sacrifice to the Well of Time. The barbarian is shown the wizard’s collection of antiques from the past: cavemen, apemen, a farao from the future and a T. Rex. Conan and Alhambra escape from the Well of Time and from the Citadel as it comes tumbling down.
