Shanna tracks down the people who killed the zoo animals and frightens them so that they make contact with their employer, Sir Guy Cross-Wallace. Shanna tracks him to Paris, but he has already left the country. All roads seem to lead to Tanzania: reporter Eric Heller follows the stolen diamonds there; American hustler Dubose Wilson has not received his shipping of diamonds and flies there; and on the savanna, Jeremy Mchele plots his revenge.
