The Crusader is on the loose seeking revenge on those who he believes have wronged him in the past. A scientist named Horace Grayson came to Calvin McClary for a loan to complete a rocket ship he was seeking to build in order to leave Earth. The loan was declined. Over the coming days the Crusader begins wrecking various Manhattan branches of the Franklin Pierce National Bank.
The Crusader is the son of Horace Grayson, a man who built a rocket to fly to Uranus to escape the horrors of the coming World War. He battles the FF, absorbing the full power of the sun and dies.
