Story is freely adapted from the story of the same name by Robert E Howard.
Conan, Hobb, Loria (daughter), Ricardus (father), Brah Raam, Pharus, Dalin. Conan and Hobb arrive at the ruins of the fortress of Venarium. They continue riding and find a young girl who is attacked by two Vendhyans. The girl is called Loria and says that she lives very close by, on the border but still within Cimmeria. Conan is surprised and angry that there are Aquilonians in his country. Loria's father, Ricardus, claims that his most prized possession is this chest, more than his daughter. he asks Conan and Hobb to help them cross the border back to Aquilonia. Two years ago Ricardus traveled in search of treasure with a Vendhyan named Brah Raam in search of the treasure kept in the chest, a set of jewels called Tears of Blood. They arrived at a temple dedicated to the goddess Kalahari. Once cleared of obstacles, Brah Raam tries to kill Ricardus and take the jewels from him, but during the fight the temple collapses. Some time later, in Tarantia, Ricardus saw Brah Raam in the bazaar and so he fled to Cimmeria. Now thw Vendhyans and Raam place a tiara that is a Kalahari relic on Loria, and the girl transforms into the goddess. Brah Raam kills Ricardus and takes the jewels from him. However, Loria has seen him and heads towards him, destroying him with her four swords. The jewels disappear. Conan and Hobb decide to take Loria to Aquilonia and the three of them set off.
