21. Fantomet, Rex King, Guran, Tara Tagama, President Lamanda Luaga, Loka Luaga, Duke, Lamma, Lomo, Bull, Gyp, Sheik Hassan. Summoning the Phantom to his palace, President Luaga reveals that he has been asked by his native Llongo to recover the tribe's stolen jade image, which is known in the jungle for giving the Llongo immense luck but causing death to anyone else that touches the piece. When the President’s own brother Loka is implicated in the theft, the Phantom takes over the case and follows the trail to London, where local gangsters are cutting in on the deal. But anyone who is not a Llongo must tread carefully: successive handlers are dropping like flies.
