Conan, Lia, Wrarrl the devourer of Souls, Zvevo, Meldark.
Conan enters a very quiet Corinthian town. The Cimmerian is abruptly attacked by a giant winged ape. The local townsfolk explain that the flying creature has been preying on them for a long while. They hire him to hunt it down. Meanwhile, Wrarrl the devourer reappears on our plane of existence ans sets on a new mission. His goal last time had been to use a certain magical gem to open a gateway between his world and ours, heralding an otherdimensional invasion. Apparently there's a spare gem in a cavern. Using the second magical jewel, Wrarrl opens the door between worlds and allows a handful of his brethren through. Meanwhile, Conan is "tracking" the flying ape. Getting near a vast lake, Conan decapitates a giant mantis and saves a woman named Lia. She and her brother-in-law were obsessed with finding a long-lost magical book. They find it at the bottom of the lake. The next night, Lia is attacked in her bedroom by the winged ape who turn out to be the brother-in-law. Conan manages to impale the creature on a pointy stone decoration. Wrarrl enter the castle's courtyard thirsting for revenge.
