Informasjon/Beskrivelse |
Conan, Hobb, Gwenalda, king Nimed, Demetrius (captain), Donnagal (relative of Conan), Vammatar (witch- queen of Hyperborea), Louhi (priestess), Ermonn, Aztrias (daughter of governor of Numalia), Tarascus (king Nimed’s brother), Kulan Gath.
Conan and Hobb arrive at Numalia (Nemedia), and the king is going to parade. A blind woman is proclaiming the arrival of Shuma-Gorath. That name appears to both her and Conan in their dreams. King Nimed is accompanied by his brother Tarascus. In a vision Conan sees his Cimmerian compatriots dying and the king and his party have been transformed to Vammatar and her priestess Louhi riding a skeletal dragon, while the soldiers are now faceless sorcerers. Conan discovers that he is grabbing King Nimed. The Cimmerian is taken to the dungeons with Hobb and the blind woman. The blind woman is really the magician Kulan Gath. He asks Conan to join him in killing Vammatar. Conan accepts. Just then Tarascus, Demetrius and the soldiers arrive. Conan confronts Demetrius and defeats him. After that, the sorcerer, Hobb and Conan mount the dragon and leave. Kulan Gath explains to them that they are going straight to the confrontation with Vammatar.
