Returning to Earth with Dale after his ordeal in outer space, a dumbfounded Flash soon realises that he somehow has acquired superhuman strength and cannot hold anything or anybody on Earth without crushing it to pieces. When Dr. Zarkov confirms in his Project X lab that Flash’s exposure to the Sea of Flame is responsible, the latter has no choice but to leave Earth in a special-built vessel and banish himself in space forever.
