X-Men [Professor X, Storm, Wolverine, Colossus, Rogue, Nightcrawler, Kitty Pryde, Rachel Summers], Illyana Rasputin [Magik], Lockheed, Magus.
Wolverine and Kitty return from Japan. Colossus and Nightcrawler investigate a crash site. Warlock's father the Magus has arrived on Earth. The Magus warns the X-Men to turn over his son Warlock or the Earth will suffer. He then leaves the scene to try and locate his son. A few months later, Professor Xavier is attacked by an anti-mutant mob. He is nearly beaten to death. However, someone has witnessed the beating and has dragged Xavier away into a nearby alley.
