Spider-Man [Peter Parker], Spider-Slayer, Professor Smythe, J. Jonah Jameson, Dr. Marla Madison, Robbie Robertson, Betty Brant, Mary Jane Watson, D. A. Blake Tower.
John Jameson vanished as he fell from the tower of the Brooklyn Bridge. J. Jonah Jameson accuses Spider-Man of killing his son. Smythe unveils his final Spider Slayer robot to Jameson. It responds instantly to Smythe's mental commands. He says that he hates Jameson for corrupting him with his mad schemes. Jameson pleads ignorance, but to no avail. Smythe promises that Jameson and Spider-Man will die together once Smythe lures the crimefighter there. Spider-Man fight the robot and is knocked unconscious. When Spider-Man comes to, he finds himself in the middle of the lab shackled back-to-back to Jameson.
