Dong river, may 1969. Earlier this crew was stationed on the big Mekong river. They had a radio call the didn’t answer as they ran into a big assault on a village. They ran into a water buffalo, the boat stopped and they had to evacuate The boat was lifted back to base by a helicopter, Then it cracked in two when released from the helicopter. Because of the mistakes, the crew and a new boat was degraded to the smaller and quieter Dong river.
