Conan, Belit, Thoth-Amon, Neftha.
Conan is visited in his dreams by Thoth-Amon, who warns the barbarian against rescuing Belit's father. Conan greets a brooding Belit but their conversation is interrupted by the sighting of a Stygian ship. Belit and Conan's crew easily take and burn the ship. A slave girl, Neftha, freed by the pirates agrees to show them how to get into the royal palace. A large contingent of Belit's crew row into the port city of Khemi and burning the warships of the Stygians. Conan, Belit and Neftha remain behind in the city to begin the trek to Luxur.
