The Phantom has been in the States battling organised crime for no less than 10 months. But his homecoming is not a happy one: ruthless hunters are indiscriminately killing and capturing animals, and a wounded Joomba (Rex' pet elephant) is terrorising the whole jungle. The Phantom must confront a berserk Joomba alone with little hope of sparing the latter’s life.
