Still recuperating from the extensive injuries sustained in the 'Pyhton' case (Terror in Mawitaan), the Phantom readily agrees to Diana's suggestion of a sailing holiday. However, recreation proves to be shortlived when the couple encounters a shipwreck survivor and the Phantom must infiltrate a prison island and a desperate search of a valuable gem.
