The jungle is perplexed to hear that Lloni, son of the Llongo king and defending Jungle Olympic pole vaulting champion, has been involved in a vicious attack and robbery of an old and defenceless man in the jungle. Fearful of what the jungle folk will do to his son, the Llongo king begs the Phantom to find the culprits first so that normal justice can be meted out. Determined to find the disturbing truth behind the senseless violence, the Phantom follows a trail of blood to town, where the unscrupulous thieves are trying to sell their loot.
