Jokko, a thief deported from the Wambesi tribe, ends up serving a long jail sentence in a town penitentiary, where he enlists the support from a fellow inmate soon to be released in return for providing access to the great riches of the Wambesi tribe. After a daring prison escape, Jokko teams up with his liberator and two hired helps in a well-equipped and well-armed quest in which no person is safe from backstabbing and double-crossing.
