Informasjon/Beskrivelse |
Shirku [Conan], Mellani, Abdel Khafir, Belissar Khan, Ali Shah.
The three weird bald men who are space aliens come to recover or destroy a certain dangerous jewel found in the treasure vaults of the city. Then there’s the leader, Abdel Khafir, who is actually Nikolav Yvonn, an agent of the crown of Turan. And there’s Bellisar Khan, who is tempted to replace the city's amir. Shirku reveals his true identity to Belissar Khan, and the two forge an alliance to take control of the Abode of the Damned. The plan falls apart when someone in the crowd reveals that Shirkuh is really Conan. A gelatinous monster begins to devour the Abode of the Damned but is stopped by the three strangers Conan had met earlier, with the total destruction of the Abode and everyone living there.
Adapted from the El Borak story "The country of the knife", by Robert E. Howard. This is an excellent example of the conanization of a REH tale done right. Conan is roughly 31, perhaps 32.
