A man called Rogo from the distant Trogo tribe asks the Phantom for urgent help to save his sister Roga and her husband-to-be Kano from being sacrificed to Xali, a god still revered by the villagers and to whom a bride traditionally must be sacrificed every 100 moons. The Phantom and Rogo hurry to the village in an effort to stop the slaughter, but a furious witchman has decided to start the bloody ceremony early.
